When your brain and reality clash
Sometimes when I’m refashioning a sentence, instead of rewriting a little snippet, I’ll copy and paste it from its old position to its new position. It probably takes just as long. But I do it, in part, because of a subconscious feeling that the original bit of pixel-ink is a real thing, and that deleting it and writing it again would be some sort of offense against frugality and thrift.
