Today is Chinese New Year’s Eve. My wife is Chinese, and so just when the Christmas rush (and Christmas feast) is receding from our memory, we have another holiday. The Spring Festival/Chinese New Year celebration is basically the corollary to Christmas in China: the winter holiday where you see your close and extended family and eat lots of great, special food.
