Thoughts on a visit to a firefly sanctuary
The other night, my wife and I drove to Greenbelt, Maryland to walk around their firefly sanctuary, a section of a park set aside for reduced activity and maintenance and surrounded on three sides by a wall of trees.
It’s our third year going, and it was probably the most beautiful light show yet. Pictures can’t really do it justice, but I tried. Just look for the tiny bright dots:
