Year Three
Ideas to develop
2023 will be the third year (second full year) that I’ve been writing this newsletter. That amazes me, although maybe it shouldn’t. I’ve really always been a writer.
The other week, I was looking through my old laptop, and I found a story I started writing in college. It followed a guy who worked in a post office but was an undercover investigator looking for criminal activity in the mail, or something; I never got much beyond an outline. But I did like a line I came across. The investigator was assigned to a very old post office branch with old radiators for heat, and I wrote something like “the heat from those old radiators seemed to actually penetrate the air.” It sounded familiar.
