The Fillmore building is so great and is one of the places that helps gives the neighborhood a sense of history. The other one, I'm always surprised when I am reminded it's actually that old. It feels more unfriendly and modern and un-urban and like what it basically is now, which is an indoor mall plopped down in the middle of a city. However, after living through that weird period of Silver Spring history where they almost actually did plop a piece of the Mall of America down right around there, it doesn't seem so bad.
